Energy is our drive. We manufacture power generators, emergency power units, and combined heat and power systems. We also provide maintenance and service throughout the entire life cycle of our systems. At edel our customers get "everything out of one hand".
Who We Are
We develop and manufacture power generators, backup power units, and combined heat and power systems (CHP) with flexible fuel options. An increasingly important part of our work is the integration and optimal use of renewable energy sources and modern battery storage systems – wherever possible. We are also actively exploring new, renewable fuels such as hydrogen or e-fuels to help shape a sustainable energy supply for the future.
Quality is our top priority. We have a team of highly experienced and qualified employees at our disposal. Everything necessary for successful integration – control cabinets, frames, fuel systems, soundproof enclosures, etc. – is manufactured in-house. We purchase components such as engines, generators, and heat exchangers only from reputable manufacturers. Optimizing electrical and thermal efficiency is the determining factor in the design process. Furthermore, our processes are continuously monitored and improved, and further digitized. For all these measures, we were awarded the "Employer of the Future" certificate by the German Innovation Institute.
All systems are manufactured at our ISO 9001 and WHG-certified headquarters in Kißlegg, Southern Germany. Thanks to the convenient access to the A96 motorway, we can quickly reach our customers.

The Beginning
Edel Landtechnik, a division of Wangen-based Ludwig Edel KG, specializes in energy solutions, manufacturing fans, heat pumps, and power generators for agricultural applications.
1979
Specialization in energy technology
As an independent company, Edel GmbH specializes entirely in energy systems. It builds exclusively power generators, emergency power units, and combined heat and power plants.
2005
Move to new manufacturing site
To accommodate the company's steady growth, the company moves to new premises in Kißlegg in the Allgäu region. Edel GmbH becomes edel Energietechnik GmbH.
